Awareness Raising, MHPSS Counseling, Case Identification and Management in Bamessing, Bamunka and Bamali

"Consistency is what transforms average into excellent." This quote reflects WAG's continued commitment to reducing Gender-Based Violence across communities.

On 1 August 2024, awareness raising was conducted at Munfou Quarter Meeting in Bamessing with 182 participants, followed by another session at Ngwalang Community Hall involving 226 participants.

On the following day, the team visited the "Helping You Help Yourself" Njangi Group in Bamali, reaching 44 participants with awareness on GBV and available safe space services.

Later that day, WAG also engaged over 372 Christians during the closing evaluation of the CWF and CMF Leadership Workshop at PCC Ndop Presbytery Bamunka.

During the final outreach, staff conducted mobile safe space activities, identified GBV cases, provided Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and opened case management files for survivors.

The outreach was implemented through WAG's partnership with UNFPA Cameroon with support from United Nations CERF and the Government of Canada.
